Dinner Now is an excellent application sample developed by Microsoft, where you can see how new Microsoft Technologies can coexist.

Dinner Now is a Virtual Market Place, where customers can order food through a web application (enhanced with AJAX.NET, with Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation in the backend), use their Windows Cardspace, track the status after installing a developer Vista Widget, locate the restaurant using Virtual Earth, etc.

Then the restaurants gets the orders, and manage them through a Windows Presentation Foundation application, track orders in a Mobile Application, view Stats and Graphs, and so on.
