Microsoft just announced the Beta preview of Tafiti.

Tafiti is a new Search Engine powered by Live Search with a Rich User Interface built on Silverlight.

This a great demonstration of how to improve the User Experience through the use of Microsoft Silverlight (If you want to learn what Silverlight is, read my post under the Tech Snacks Corner here).

With Tafiti you can search for any keyword and then filter the results, explore the matching results under News, RSS, Images or the Web. 

If you want you can drag and drop any result you ’d like to the right sidebar, label it and access it anytime later.

Nice features and a very good user experience. Great resource to get ideas for enhancing your web applications.

What does “Tafiti” mean? It means “do research” in Swahili.
